After a bunch of "strenuous" days we all decided that we would just hang out by the pools today at Turtle Inn. So, we pretty much did that - although after we finished breakfast and were to meet by the beach Steve had already rented a paddle board and went out for a spin! I tried it and was able to stand up and paddle around for a bit - but had a hard time turning away from the way the waves were flowing. The first time I just headed back to shore where the waves took me. I tried a second time and it was easier - I was able to maneuver a bit better. Never fell off once! A success.
One of the pool guys is named Randy and we were talking about being from Chicago. Seems he is a Bulls fan so I promised to try and send him a Bulls cap with Randy on it. He is 21 years old and plays semi-professional soccer here in town. Nice kid - they all are being real nice to us. He even came out with a kayak to help the big old fat gringo up onto a floating deck off shore. The ladder up was broken and I just couldn't get up. He saw I was having trouble and got me into the kayak and then from there up onto the raft. Nice service!
Went to a second pool late in the afternoon while Steve and Kasey had a nap.
We're all in varying degrees of sunburn - 8 straight hours in the sun deep sea fishing took it's toll so we spent quite a bit of time in the shade reading, etc.....
Back to town tonight for dinner at Rumfish. Need some more of those delicious fish tacos! The others are out by the pool bar with demon rum. I'll meet them before we head for dinner.
A bunch of Mayan ladies were walking the beach asking about purchasing handicrafts. Maybe mañana!
Time is getting short - Steve has planned another half day fishing tomorrow morning with Mr Eloy. We may walk to town and check it out!
Outside our front door.

Beach to the left with rafts I couldn't get up on! Pretty calm in the morning today.

Clothes drying in outdoor shower
IN the bathroom
Second pool - went here late in the afternoon.
We all went for a walk along the beach and Connie and I went for a kayak ride for about an hour. Other than that it was read a book, sit in the sun and wait for lunch! We took lunch by the main pool. I had a pepperoni oven fired pizza and Connie had a nice smoked chicken salad. One of the pool guys is named Randy and we were talking about being from Chicago.
