Eating dinner at a local restaurant down the street from Casa Opuntia (Our hotel for the night)
Here's the town of San Cristobal, San Cristobal Island as we approach.
This is the airport where we'll be flying back to Guayaquil in a couple of days, ending our Gapalagos adventure. At least it's not for a couple of days!
Yes, the water was that BLUE!!!!!
Connie after snorkling, enjoying the sun.
Bobbi floated like a sea lion (and that's a compliment).
Sea Lion and a marine iguana. We saw them eating algae underwater all along these rocks. We were told that they can stay submerged for up to 30 minutes while eating.
Hang loose!

You'll have to trust me - those are white-tipped sharks and they're no danger to humans. The guide told us they only eat snorkelers - guide humor at it's best.
Here's a pride of sea lions basking on the beach at the end of the inlet.
Entering the inlet at Santa Fe Island - a stop on the way to San Cristobal Island. The sea lions you saw in the image above were up ahead on those 2 beaches. We were told we couldn't go on the beach and about 10 minutes later a cruise boat sent people on pangas right on to the beach. Go figure.
Leaving the harbor at Santa Cruz. Nice yacht!
That's Teppy Angermeyer and the staff of the Angermeyer Waterfront Inn as we're pulling away for the last time. The Angermeyer family were among the earliest settlers in Santa Cruz and they still own quite a bit of real estate.
The Annette - our transport to San Cristobal Island.
Back at the Shangri-La. Just a little nicer than our room in town.
The water taxi ramp with a water taxi pulling away. The fare was $.60 daytime and $1.10 nightime back and forth from the town to our hotel.
Bobbi, Richie and Concha on the pier at the water taxi pickup spot.
Loby of The Lobo del Mar hotel - the morning after our stay.
Our palatial digs at The Lobo del Mar Hotel. Not exactly the Ritz (or the Shangri-La) As mentioned elsewhere, due to a scheduling snafu 3 couples had to spend the night here. Rich stopped here the night before and was told a room went for $200 a night. HA! Anyway, we survived the night and headed back to the Angermeyer for a breakfast and some pool time prior to our departure for San Cristobal Island in the afternoon.
